Installation «GaiaMotherTree» by Ernesto Neto (2018)

Fondation Beyeler hosted an installation by Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto in Zurich's Main Station in June and July 2018. Tarbaca Indigo Foundation co-sponsored the project. The monumental work "GaiaMotherTree" is a sculpture made of brightly colored hand-knotted cotton strips and resembles a tree that is 20 meters tall. The walking structure functioned as a meeting place and a venue for interaction, discussion and meditation. It hosted "Assembleia MotherTree", a two-day assembly that contextualized the installation, investigating the links between the public location of the installation and the artist’s Amerindian collaborators.

Peter Doig (2014/2015)

The paintings of Peter Doig take us on fantastical expeditions into a wondrous world. That world, where nature flourishes in splendid colors, is inhabited by strange beings—humans, carnival characters, and creatures from myths and fables. Peter Doig’s paintings - as mysterious as they are masterly - make him one of the most interesting artists of our time. With the support of Tarbaca Indigo Foundation, Fondation Beyeler presented selected works created by Doig between 1989 and 2014 with the main focus placed on his treatment of paint as an aesthetic medium and as a material.

Exhibitions «Calder Gallery» (2012-2015)

Between 2012 and 2015 Tarbaca Indigo Foundation supported Fondation Beyeler in presenting the work of American artist Alexander Calder. Calder is known for redefining sculpture by introducing the element of movement. He is regarded as the inventor of the "mobile". Fondation Beyeler presented the many facets of Calder's work in a series of three exhibitions. The shows included rarely shown early abstract paintings as well as the first abstract sculptures in which Calder progressively introduced motion.
