Exhibition "The Hobbyist"

Tarbaca Indigo Foundation has contributed to the exhibition "The Hobbyist: Hobbys, Fotografie und Hobby-Fotografie", which was on show between September 2017 – February 2018 at Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland, a leading institution for the presentation and discussion of photography and visual culture. The exhibition was the first major exhibition to explore the relationship between photography and hobby culture, both in relation to photography of hobbies and also as a hobby practice. Covering 50 years and a wide variety of lively, often quirky hobbies the exhibition asked what happens when photographers make hobbies the subject of their work.

Exhibition "Danny Lyon: Message to the Future"

Tarbaca Indigo Foundation has supported one of two exhibitions in Europe of US-American artist Danny Lyon. The photo-journalist, writer and filmmaker shaped post-war American documentary with his work, fascinated by outsiders and subcultures of all kinds. The exhibition "Danny Lyon: Message to the Future" was on show at Fotomuseum Winterthur, Switzerland, in 2017 and was the first full-career retrospective devoted to Lyon's work. It consisted of around 190 of the artist's classic photographic series from across Lyon's career, plus a selection of his little-known films and material from his personal archive. Many works had never been exhibited before.
