The Musée Visionnaire is dedicated to visionary art that boldly departs from convention and opens up new perspectives. By providing a platform for these independent, boundary-crossing positions, it creates space for an expanded understanding of art. Visionary artists are at the center; occasionally, their work is contextualized alongside established positions to promote a diverse and accessible artistic field.

A central aspect of this work is education and engagement. Guided tours, workshops, studio visits, and discovery trails invite visitors to actively interact with the art and explore new viewpoints. The Musée Visionnaire provides space for free thinking and individuality, directly connecting this with the school curriculum: lessons take place in the museum, opening up entirely new dimensions. Children and adults can be creative themselves and leave their own impulses. Education thus becomes a “third exhibition space,” where processes are more important than products and art continues to resonate sustainably.
