Amazon Watch's program "Power to the Protectors" aims to empower indigenous stewards across the Amazon basin through the provision of solar microgrids, radio and satellite internet communications, and solar-powered transportation infrastructure. Amazon Watch has formed a coalition, including Empowered by Light, the Give Power Foundation, Kara Solar, and Greenpeace Brazil that has a long-term vision to power community needs and provide energy hardware and capacity-building to indigenous partners resisting criminal invasions and industrial development on their lands. By supporting "Power to the Protectors", Tarbaca Indigo Foundation helps to empower local communities to protect the Amazon.
