Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Catalogue raisonné - by the Swiss Institute for Art Research (SIK-ISEA)
The Swiss Institute for Art Research (SIK-ISEA) is preparing a catalogue raisonné of the complete works of Sophie Taeuber-Arp (Davos 1889 – Zurich 1943). It will be published in late 2029 as a printed volume and as a freely accessible online database.
Sophie Taeuber-Arp is among the most important Swiss artists of the 20th century. A key figure of modernism with a uniquely wide-ranging and coherent body of work, she has been honoured with retrospectives at major museums worldwide, highlighting the breadth and enduring relevance of her work.
The project is being carried out in collaboration with the Fondation Arp in Clamart, the Fondazione Marguerite Arp in Locarno-Solduno, the Stiftung Arp e. V. in Berlin, and the specialist Walburga Krupp. The catalogue raisonné will be compiled and published in English and will serve as a key reference for future research on this major artist.
